Roughboy Site Hacked on 12/07/09

no responses · Blog At some point on Monday, December 7th, the Roughboy site was hacked by an individual identified as FaLCoN with email address . The hacker replaced the index page with their own. Our hosting service tech support department was able to restore the site by late Monday night. According to them, the hacker was able to enter the site via a security hole in one of the WordPress php files. The hacker’s intrusion and method of gaining entry was reported to WordPress.
My apologies to anyone who was legitimately trying to access the site on Monday. I’m working with our hosting service to improve security on the site to prevent any future reoccurrence.
